The Flawless Moon: A myth

We Indians believe Moon is the symbol of love, and we analogize it with pretty women ostensibly. The country of Saint Kabir, Saint Rahim, Saint Raskhan, Meera, Gulzar, and many of, like them. Those who had composed quintessential & astonishing poetries that may be written again fabulously in the upcoming era. I too believe Moon is the symbol of love, beauty & unbroken relationship, but it has some flaws that are unavoidable or inexplicable.

I would like to introduce a person who has conquered the world of emotions and does everything imperceptibly. This guy has innumerable qualities. It was 2018 when we met the first time. He interviewed me for the position of English faculty. I entered the cabin and he offered me a seat. I was diffident and speechless in front of him not because of being interviewed, owing to his courtesy towards me. I was asked many questions, but I could not reply. Yet, I was chosen to deliver my skills to make a difference among educatees. I begin my teaching jauntily in order to influence my students with my knowledge, wisdom, and expressive style. We both did our best for the betterment of our institution and amiable students, but we could not come out with flying colors. However, we became good friends. He had to leave that institution which was taken care of wholeheartedly. Later on, he became my roomie as I was not able to afford the rent of that extravagant flat alone. I saw he was very dedicated to his job, study, duty, and considerably more. I was mesmerized by his endeavors. I decided to become like him, so the next morning I woke up in full enthusiasm and did everything in a very optimistic way.

We were sitting in our balcony discussing the current political scenario of India. He shared his views about it. We exchanged thoughts and reached the conclusion that it is difficult to find out a proper solution about making India better, meanwhile he said, “that’s why I don’t cast the vote”. I was stupefied knowing that the man, whom I admired very much is not morally responsible towards the nation. This was the day he was no longer in my good books.

He was well versed with knowledge, job, money and so many things just because of this nation. Whoever we are, we owe to this country. How can somebody be so thoughtless about his nation who has grown up here with many blessings?

The word ‘Perfection’ needs to be removed from the dictionary. It is a myth such as the flawless Moon.
